The Marangona winery dates back to the 17th Century.  It was originally a farm located in a town bearing the same name.  Located to the southeast of Lake Garda, between the towns of Peschiera and Sirmione, the Marangona winery and its vineyards are located in a microclimate that is particularly favorable for the production of a local wine named Lugana.

The Marangona winery is distinguished by an unflinching commitment to two principles: minimizing environmental impacts and the production of high quality wine.  In the vineyards, Alessandro Marangona employs organic practices.  No additives or pesticides are used in order to preserve the delicate ecosystem of the land.  This philosophy of respect and minimal manipulation continues from the vineyards into the cellar, where Alessandro makes wine in accordance with the most traditional methods of the zone of Lugana, again eschewing additives and interventions.
