The picolit vines are grown in a special place that is named Picolit. It is one of the most historic, best positions for Picolit in Friuli. The vineyards are southern facing and surrounded by chestnut trees. The Adriatic Sea is visibile from the vineyards. There is a medium-late harvest, around the 20th of October.

After pressing the grapes, the juice has a very short period of skin contact (4-5 hours in the press). The must is transferred to the barrique, and the alcoholic fermentation takes place in barrique. The Rapuzzi family intentionally follows a very traditional and simple approach to vinification. The wine is aged in the bottle for at least 8 years before its release. Subsequently, it is recommended to bottle for 10-15 years after release. This wine is made in only the best vintages.
