Refosco undergoes a shorter skin contact period (12-14 days) than its big brother, Refosco Cru. Oak is not used in the aging process, only stainless steel. Battonage twice a week over the course of a year lends body to the wine. After a year, the wine is transferred from the steel tank to the bottles. The wine is aged in the bottle for at least 6 months before its release.
