The picolit vines are grown in a special place that is named Picolit. It is one of the most historic, best positions for Picolit in Friuli. The vineyards are southern facing and surrounded by chestnut trees. The Adriatic Sea is visibile from the vineyards. These are the same vines used for Sol, but with a different selection. Vines 40+ years. Half of the grapes are harvested at a traditional time and are subsequently dried for one to two months. The other half of the grapes remain on the vine for a late harvest, as long as possible (late October-mid November depending on weather conditions).

The sweet picolit is aged for three years prior to release, with 12 months maturation in oak barrels followed by 24 months ageing in bottles.
