La Bellanotte is an artisanal winery with 8 hectares of vineyards.  Located between the valley of Isonzo and the hills of Collio, in the northeast of Italy, La Bellanotte is found very close to the Slovenian border. The grapes used in La Bellanotte’s wines come from old vines – with up to 80 years of age, in some cases.  Somewhat unique for the region of Friuli (which is oftentimes associated with large production industrial wines), all of the grapes are estate grown and vinified.  The vineyards are harvested by hand and all agricultural practices are completely organic.
